The Next Step in Unity

The Love We Have for One Another

March 28-30, 2014
Principe de Paz Church
502 S. Ross St, Santa Ana, CA 92701

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples – when they see the love you have for each other.”   ~John 13: 34, 35; The Message

The vibrant, intercultural traditions of the Pacific Southwest District (PSWD) can be traced back to its founding –by Brethren who travelled to the West Coast in search of new opportunities while also maintaining their values and roots. We are continuing that tradition when we gather together, in love, as neighbors and disciples to build relationships, share our cultural heritages, and develop new ways to work together in our various ministries.

At the 2007 PSWD District Conference, in recognition of the 300th anniversary of the Church of the Brethren and looking ahead to the future, those gathered committed to a Unity Statement that affirmed the importance of listening to one another as the foundation to working together. This gathering will have a special focus on listening to one another, sharing our stories, and exploring ways our ministries can overlap and strengthen one another.
