Church of the Brethren member Grace Mishler teaches in the Department of Social Work at the National Vietnam University of Social Sciences & Humanities - Ho Chi Minh City, training others to compassionately mainstream the physically disabled. Her work is supported, in part, by Church of the Brethren Global Mission and Service.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Dec. 10, 2015: Global Mission and Service worker Grace Mishler receives an urgent email from the American Eye Center medical director: “We need your help to find donors.... Within 10 days Baby Hoa will go blind with Retinopathy of Prematurity. Baby needs immediate surgery.”

The Ho Chi Minh City disabilities social media leader called and asked for my support of a fellow Chia Hoa Catholic District Diocese social media member. Since we view social media as a tool of evangelization and church renewal, one of our commitments is to support social media members whom experience a death in the family.
