Special adult Christian Citizenship Seminars have at times been held in the year of a National Youth Conference. In light of the current world situation, such a CCS is again being offered in 2002. Join Brethren from around the nation for this important opportunity to discuss Christian peacemaking in a time of crisis.
The event will begin with supper on Saturday, April 6 at the Vanderbilt YMCA in New York City. The group will depart on Tuesday, April 9 for Washington D.C., with the event concluding on Thursday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m..
This experience will include discussions on:
- patriotism
- Christian/Muslim relations
- Christian alternatives to violent retaliation
- the biblical basis of peacemaking
- the role of the United Nations in international conflict situations (and a U.N. tour)
- legislative advocacy
- international military spending
