Letter to Church of the Brethren youth leaders

Dear Youth Leader,

Recent events in our nation have caused many young people to think seriously about their beliefs related to war and peace. While there is no official way to signify one’s conscientious objection to war at this time, young men and women can nonetheless begin the important task of establishing a history of commitment to Christ’s way of peace.

The enclosed resources are provided to assist you in your ministry to these young people as they think through these issues. We have provided white copies of several items in order to facilitate their reproduction. Other items can be acquired free of charge by using the enclosed resource order form or by contacting the Brethren Witness/Washington Office by phone or e-mail.

I appreciate your ministry to the youth of our church in this important moment in our life as a church and nation.

Please be in touch if you have further questions or concerns.

Peace to you—and to our world.

Sincerely,

Amy Adkins, Program Associate
