Whether the topic is Christian education, peace, history, youth ministry, pastoral needs, or other areas, the General Board aims to provide resources to help in those tasks.
Brethren Press has been publishing for more than a century, producing curriculum, books, and other materials. The Ministry Office equips pastors as they minister in large churches or small ones. Agenda, published 10 times per year gives particular emphasis to resources that can help pastors and other church leaders.
Other offices, such as Brethren Witness and Youth/Young Adult Ministries, offer materials on issues such as the environment, peace and justice, youth spirituality and worship, and more. Congregational Life Teams offer both material resources and people resources to congregations, with staff members living in five regions of the US and consulting with churches to meet particular needs.
The Brethren Historical Library & Archives assists those who want to look at the denomination's past, while the New Church Development Advisory Committee is working to support those who want to build churches for the future.
For new ministry areas or ongoing efforts, the General Board provides tools to facilitate and enable them. |
