“Let’s Look Toward Our Head, Who is Jesus Christ”

Summary
In order to run this race that we have in front of us, we cannot look back. We can think of this example: When a bicyclist is on the road he ought to fix his gaze toward where he is going and have his feet on the pedal and his mind and his faith, his gaze, his heart on that which he is doing. For this reason, we must look forward toward our Superior (Christ) who is leading us forward, without looking back. Jesus said this in Luke 9:62. He who looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God. No one can be running forward and looking back; looking back like this would prevent us from having success in the race.

Therefore in this case the one to whom we must look is Jesus. He is the Head and He is where we are going to conclude our race. In this way, Felix Sanchez (Dominican Olympic Gold Medal winner in Track and Field) had a goal for his race and he achieved it. In this way we, even more, will see that we will reach our goal. He who perseveres until the end will receive his reward. For this reason, following Jesus requires perseverance and purpose. (Philippians 3:12-14 and 2 Timothy 4:6-8).
