RECREATION
Hal  Heisey of Indianola, Iowa, follows through on a slicing return during doubles tennis action Wednesday.

Sunny skies and ample facilities provided plenty of outlets for fun and recreation during the conference. Scheduled activities included tournaments in tennis, shuffleboard, golf, and horseshoes. Forty golfers are signed up for Thursday's tourney.

Verna Calloway of Queen Anne, Md., and Jean Judy of Greenwood, Del., went head-to-head for a round of shuffleboard Wednesday afternoon.

Other NOAC recreational options included boat tours of the lake, a nostalgic reliving of childhood games and relays, square/folk dancing, orienteering, jogging, walking, fishing, tourist sites, paddleboats, canoes, and just relaxing.
