Excerpts from Tuesday's NOAC Notes (edited by Fred Swartz):
A barren tree has been chosen as the visual point for the appeal
this week for offerings to assist the Association of Brethren
Caregivers with its ministries. The tree, "constructed"
by Lester Kesselring, a NOAC Planning Committee member, is located
in the kiosk area of Stuart Auditorium. As offerings are given
throughout the week, the tree will become "fresh and green,
still bearing fruit." In addition to the offerings taken
at worship and general session times, there are watering cans
placed at the tree in which persons can place donations to ABC.
Monday night's worship service offering was $1,924.31.

Dr. Franklin Cassel, who is leading an Alzheimer's Support Group
at NOAC Wednesday and Thursday, plans to be in Washington, D.C.,
next week to present a petition for more governmental funding
for Alzheimer's research. The petition is in the information
area of Harrell Center for all those who wish to share in the
appeal. |
