SESSIONS: Neff concluded his trio of morning Bible studies with Psalm 96, "A New Song All Life Long." Reading from several books as well as reciting from the Bible--some in Hebrew--Neff looked at "the incredible outpouring of creation." He said that we must "immerse ourselves in the love of God," and that our desire must be to live in the love of God. He told participants to share their "testimonies of a lifetime" with the younger generations.
Dawn followed up her Wednesday-evening sermon by looking at "Sabbath" and rest, using the familiar 23rd Psalm. She talked about God's faithfulness and caring for us, which can include tough love but is always present. "Jesus didn't say we shouldn't get into pits or give us instructions how to get out of the pit," she said. "He jumped into the pit with us." Her dimensions of rest included physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social.
Ted & Lee brought laughter and sharp insight to the auditorium in the evening. Their original drama presentation portrayed characters including God & Gabriel, Cain & Abel, Abraham, Aaron & Moses, Solomon, Samuel, Jeremiah, and Jonah.
