| Hats were a subtheme of Monday night's NOAC announcements. Joanne Nesler, volunteer NOAC coordinator, officially kicked off the conference while wearing a particular hat. She explained that hats play an important role in her life, as symbols and statements. Picking up on the hat theme was Steve Mason, executive director of Association of Brethren Caregivers, the Church of the Brethren agency that is sponsoring NOAC. In addition to his Chicago Cubs hat, Steve sported a transformed water jug that will be used this week, with many more like it, to collect contributions to ABC's ministries. | ||
