What else will I do if I go on this workcamp?

  • Meet EYN leaders and worship in local churches
  • Experience life in a Nigerian city and in the countryside
  • Experience a variety of Nigerian cultural events
  • Discuss topics of mutual interest with Nigerians
  • Spend a night or two in a Nigerian home
  • See mission programs in action and meet the staff
  • Visit a game reserve
  • Visit the sites of the early Brethren mission work

Will I have to live in a mud hut and eat bush meat?

No, at  least not most of the time.  On the project you will live in dormitory style facilities with the Nigerian workcampers (no private accommodations); other times you will be in guest houses and/or homes.  Meals will consist of a variety of Nigerian food and sometimes simple American food.  You should come prepared for a culinary experience.
