The Heishmans, previously pastors of Harrisburg (Pa.) First Church of the Brethren, began as mission coordinators in June 2003. In this role, they provide overall guidance to the mission effort in the country and provide support and relationship for this fast-growing church.

Wildlife biology for endangered Rhino Iguana species

Kathryn works at the Iguanario, a center to restore and reintroduce the Rhino Iguana back into the wild. She will be doing behavior studies, blood testing, and habitat surveys to determine the best way to reintroduce this endangered species back into its native habitat. Her work will also involve environmental education for youth and adults, and church groups concerning the Iguana and wildlife protection.
