Office of the General Secretary

As principal administrator of the General Board, the general secretary sets a spiritual tone rooted in the teachings of the New Testament. The aim is to model cooperation and mutuality in all aspects of denominational life.

The general secretary guides the Leadership Team and staff in "living out" the General Board vision statement, oversees coordinated financial planning, and supervises the development of human resources.

The general secretary is the officer for Church of the Brethren interchurch relations at national and international levels.
