The General Board recognizes that God calls the Church of the Brethren to continue to minister to the people of Sudan. We have a window of opportunity for renewed efforts for peacemaking in Sudan. Therefore, we call upon the whole church to support the people of Sudan with prayer, with peace-building efforts such as reconstruction and the monitoring of peace agreements and elections, and with the continuation of our work in Southern Sudan.
