Child protection

Caring Ministries has examined how the recommendations made in Annual Conference statement Conditions of Childhood in the United States (1986), the Child Abuse Prevention Handbook (1991), the Code of Ethics for Ordained and Licensed Ministers and Lay Speakers (1996) (now replaced by the 2008 Ethics in Ministry Relations), and the Ethical Guidelines for Congregations (1996) are being utilized and implemented within the Church of the Brethren.
