Hiroshima Peace ConcertThe World Friendship Center sponsored a “One World, Peace Concert” in Hiroshima, Japan, on April 13, 2012. The concert featured American peace folk singer, Mike Stern, Asaka Watanabe, WFC Peace Choir director, and Japanese musicians sharing songs of peace. The concert was held in the Memorial Cathedral for Peace to an audience of over 400 people.

JoAnn & Larry Sims, Volunteer Directors of the World Friendship Center commented, "We were pleased with attendence at over 400 people on a rainy evening. Surely the spirit of Peace is gaining strength!"

Steve Leeper, the Chairperson of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, the city organization that directs all events at Peace Park and directs the Peace Memorial Museum and the Interational Peace Conference Center congratulated the Sims, saying that it is difficult to gather that many people for peace.
