Creation Justice Ministries equips, educates, and mobilizes Christian communities to protect, restore, and rightly share God’s creation. We focus on climate, energy, clean water, public lands, and toxics issues. Creation Justice Ministries serves 38 member communions from Orthodox, peace church, historically black church, Baptist, and mainline Protestant traditions. Church of the Brethren has been active in Creation Justice Ministries since its beginning.

Creation Justice Ministries seeks a Creation Justice Fellow to interface with our membership, offer Christian education workshops, track and advocate for public policies and contribute to coalition meetings. Other responsibilities include digital organizing, media outreach, database management, and assistance with fundraising efforts.

Creation Justice Ministries has a fast-paced culture that requires a self-starter who is able to juggle multiple projects at once, as well as work both independently and as part of a team. The Fellow should enjoy embracing new challenges and adventures, while also demonstrating ability to be a reliable team member for routine tasks. Most days, the work is done in an office at a desk. Some days, we go on trips to host events or we go to Capitol Hill.

The Fellow should be a strong writer with the ability to adapt tone to varying cultures and political contexts. The Fellow should be open to engaging in spiritual development at both a personal and public level. Other desired qualities include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email; commitment to racial, economic, and environmental justice; and curiosity about different cultures with the ability to suspend judgement about a diversity of belief systems.
