Casa de Esperanza de los Niños (The House of Hope for Children) serves as a safe place for children who are in crisis due to abuse, neglect, or HIV/AIDS. Casa provides residential care and coordinates medical and psychological services according to the needs of each child.

Casa seeks House Parents to do everything necessary to properly and safely care and advocate for the four to five children placed in their care. This includes direct hands-on care, daily household tasks, paperwork, and participation in appointments with medical, psychological, and developmental specialists. House parents are responsible for managing behavior and providing safe boundaries. More than anything else, House Parents will be asked to give these children their time, attention, patience, and love.

Applicants must have a love for children and be willing to work closely with them while taking on high levels of responsibility. Other required characteristics include good interpersonal skills, patience, strong work ethic, flexibility, positive attitude, and the ability to communicate appropriately with supervisors, volunteers, and housemates. Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
