Job Descriptions

The National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund (NCPTF) is a non-profit organization established to pass the Religions Freedom Peace Tax Fund Act. This bill, when enacted into law, will allow taxpayers who are conscientiously opposed to participation in war to pay 100% of their taxes into the Peace Tax Fund. Under this bill, money deposited into the fund can only be used for non-military purposes. NCPTF advocates for a Peace Tax Fund by direct lobbying and by organizing grassroots support for this legislation through our website, newsletter, action alerts, local activist network, and a network of endorsing organizations.

NCPTF seeks an Administrative and Advocacy Assistant with both program and administrative responsibilities. On the program side, the volunteer may research and write grants; engage in lobbying, public speaking, and organizing; write and edit newsletters; maintain the website, blog, and Facebook page; and distribute email action alerts. Administrative responsibilities are less flexible and include data entry, answering the phone, filling literature orders, completing legal registration processes, and maintaining correspondence.

Requirements include a passion for resistance to war and militarism, flexibility, computer skills, media savvy, the interest and ability to learn, and the ability to work independently and with others.
