Children’s Disaster Services responds to Hurricane Irene: Remnants of Lee force evacuations
September 9, 2011 Children's Disaster Services volunteers were caring for children affected by Hurricane Irene when renewed flooding prompted evacuation and redeployment. Quake felt at Brethren Service Center August 24, 2011 The Brethren Service Center in New Windsor, Md. was slightly shaken but not damaged by the 5.8 earthquake centered in Virginia on August 23. A prayer for East Africa August 15, 2011 Brethren Disaster Ministries encourages Christians to pray for the millions in East Africa who are suffering due to drought and famine. BDM awarded grant for Tennessee flood recovery July 19, 2011 Brethren Disaster Ministries has been awarded a grant for $52,500 from the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to help support its flood recovery efforts. BDM volunteers are engaged in home repair and rebuilding in the Nashville area.
