Wanted: 300th Anniversary
Music & Drama
The Annual Conference Anniversary Committee selected the following theme for the 2008 Tricentennial Celebration:
Surrendered to God
Transformed in Christ
Empowered by the Spirit
The Anniversary Committee invites you to submit musical compositions or drama that represent this theme and its interpretation. Compositions can be hymns, folk songs, praise songs, anthems, and children's songs. A full score needs to be submitted for each composition and an audio tape is requested. Anniversary music will be used in a variety of ways throughout 2008. The deadline is August 31, 2005.
Writings can be full length dramas, skits, monologues, and vignettes for adults, children, and/or youth. Submitted drama may be used in congregations and districts leading up to the anniversary year and at Annual Conference in 2008. The deadline is December 31, 2005.
Please consider the theme interpretation as you work on compositions and drama. The theme statement is further defined on the 300th Anniversary page, accessible on the homepage of this website or at the following link –

The name, address, and phone number of composers or writers should not appear on the submitted work but should be included on a separate page. All compositions and drama become the property of the Annual Conference Anniversary Committee and will not be returned.
